Teen boy found safe after leaving Maryland home during weekend snow storm

A 15-year-old boy in Bel Air, Maryland, was found in the cold a mile from his home after going missing during Sunday's winter storm, according to the city's police department.

Police said the boy left his home between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Jan. 25 without his family knowing and as temperatures dropped below freezing.

A Maryland State Police K9 and Bel Air police later found the boy in a wooded area roughly a mile away from his home and near several houses.

He was taken for a medical evaluation but later released to his family.
