The Justice Department on Friday said it is releasing more than three million records connected to its investigation of the Jeffrey Epstein files, more than two months after the deadline.

The files "include large quantities of commercial pornography and images that were seized from Epstein’s devices but which he did not take," Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced.

"Some of the images do appear to be taken by Mr. Epstein or by others around him," he added.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed by President Donald Trump in November, required the DOJ to release files by Dec. 19. Only 125,575 pages of records have been released so far and millions remain outstanding.

Just before Christmas, thousands of documents were released, including photos, interview transcripts, call logs and court records, with many of them heavily redacted.

In the new year, the DOJ said hundreds of lawyers were tasked with reviewing more than 2 million documents "potentially responsive" to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which needed to be redacted to protect the identities of victims of sexual abuse.

This is breaking news and will be updated.
