Rapper and artist Nicki Minaj called former CNN host Don Lemon a “thug” and said he should be in jail, in a recent post on X

“HOW DARE YOU?” she wrote on X Monday. “I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION. LOCK HIM UP!!!!!”

This post comes after Lemon stormed a church with anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activists over the weekend.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Department of Justice, Harmeet Dhillon warned on X that Lemon was “on notice” following the incident.

On Sunday, anti-ICE protesters stormed Cities Church in Minnesota and accused the pastor of being the acting ICE field office director in the state.

Minaj has become more outspoken politically as of late, specifically about Christian persecution in Nigeria.

Last year, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. was looking into the alleged murdering of Christians in Nigeria.

Minaj praised the president for his efforts.

“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God,” she wrote on X last year. “No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.”

Anti-ICE protests have been popping up around Minnesota due to a larger presence of federal agents. This comes after ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot Renee Good.
