Rhode Island Sen. Meghan Kallman announced she will be traveling to the Minnesota State Capitol to join lawmakers for a day of solidarity.

According to Kallman, the Stand with Minnesota Day of Solidarity, planned for Thursday, was organized in response to the recent killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents.

More than 50 lawmakers from 15 states are expected to attend at Saint Paul in person, officials said. They are expected to visit neighborhoods, schools, and businesses impacted by recent events on Thursday.

Officials said there also will be a national virtual press call that will include over 100 lawmakers from 24 states.

State Futures, a non-profit organization that organized the day with state legislators, released a video Tuesday, which features local legislators calling for accountability.
