The Rhode Island Executive Office of Housing said that the state's four emergency winter pop-up sites were opening in anticipation of low temperatures throughout the week.

The department said that the three sites operated by the Council of Churches would be open nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Wednesday night through Feb. 2.

The three church sites are:

  • Matthewson Street Church, 134 Matthewson St., Providence
  • Community Church of Providence, 372 Wayland Ave., Providence
  • Open Table of Christ, 1520 Broad St., Providence

The fourth site at the West Warwick Civic Center on Factory Street will be open nightly from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. from Wednesday through Jan. 30.
