ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — Snow is falling across the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region as a powerful winter storm continues to move through the area on Sunday.
Communities across the DMV have already reported a few to several inches of snow, with steady snowfall reducing visibility and creating slick travel conditions on roads and sidewalks.

WINTER ALERT: Snowfall underway, travel troubles growing, ice and sleet Sunday afternoon
The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for the entire D.C. region through 4 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, as snow continues to accumulate and wintry conditions persist overnight.
7News' First Alert Weather Team said snowfall totals will continue to vary by location, with some areas seeing heavier bands of snow while others mix with sleet at times.
Drivers are urged to use caution, slow down, and allow extra travel time.
