Utah GOP Sen. Mike Lee on Monday night called for Tyler Robinson, the alleged killer of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, to be executed.

It’s the second time he’s made the suggestion. Sen. Lee first shared the thought Friday.

This comes after news broke that Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow was pushing for a faster trial.

She accused Robinson’s defense team of delay tactics as the trial approaches, according to Fox News.

"Nobody believed in the importance of the United States Constitution more than Charlie Kirk," the court filing states. "And although the United States Constitution guarantees criminal defendants many rights, it does not guarantee them the right to cause undue delay."

“Execute Tyler Robinson,” Lee wrote on X. “In public.”

Charlie Kirk was murdered on Sep. 10, 2025 during a speaking event at Utah Valley University.

Kirk was a political activist who founded the nonprofit group Turning Point USA. He was also known for going around college campuses and debating liberals on political issues.

Utah prosecutors have said they are seeking the death penalty for Robinson, who was charged with aggravated murder.

In October, Kirk received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and it was accepted on his behalf by Erika. President Donald Trump called Kirk one of the "greatest figures of his generation."
