Faith leaders in Minnesota are planning an anti-ICE rally that will take place on Friday, Jan. 23.

The rally is calls for places of worship in Minnesota to participate in a “Day of Truth and Freedom.”

Those organizing the rally call for people not to go to school, work or shop on Friday, according to CBS News.

"As leaders in their community, clergy are bearing witness to the constitutional and human rights violations happening on a daily basis in our state and communities as a result of DHS operations," a spokesperson for the faith-based nonprofit Isaiah said.

The goal is to call for “an immediate end to ICE operations” in Minnesota.

The rally is expected to take place at 2 p.m. CST.

"ICE, you may go in peace,” a minister participating in the rally said.

“You surely couldn't stay in peace, and so we are asking that you leave in peace.”

Anti-ICE protests have been ramping up in Minnesota following the death of Renee Good, who was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer Jonathan Ross.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said Ross shot Good after she tried to run him over with her car.

The FBI is currently investigating the matter.
