Why Timothée Chalamet feared being electrocuted while filming 'Marty Supreme'
Timothée Chalamet was all about safety on the set of “Marty Supreme.”
The Oscar-nominated actor told Robert Downey Jr. which scene made him fear for his life in a recent Q&A, per People. In “Marty Supreme,” Chalamet's character falls through the floor while using a hotel room's bathtub, landing on a man and his dog.

As Chalamet described that day on set, “We're in the bathtub. It's practical. There's water. And I look up and there's lights that are hanging off our rig basically. I pulled Josh aside. I was like, 'Man, has this been properly done? It's not going to collapse in the water? It's not how I want to go out.'”
Luckily, the lights were safely secured, and Chalamet lived to tell the tale. Chalamet also shared how director Josh Safdie was particularly excited about that scene. “Josh was so excitable that day and loving it,” he said of the Oscar-nominated director.

Chalamet has received widespread critical acclaim for his performance as Marty Mauser, a young Jewish American table tennis player in 1952 who attempts to make enough money to travel to Japan for the sport’s world championships. He’s already received a Critics’ Choice and a Golden Globe win, and has been nominated for the upcoming Oscars, BAFTAs, and Actor Awards. In addition to acting, Chalamet is a producer on the film which has also been nominated for Best Picture at both the Oscars and BAFTAs.

Chalamet is no stranger to the award circuit. Last year, he won an Actor Award for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown,” a role that also earned him an Oscar nod.
