The New England Patriots on Friday were two days away from a pivotal playoff game against the Houston Texans.

Thousands of fans will pack Gillette Stadium on Sunday as they watch the Pats host the Texans in the AFC divisional playoff round.

That’s something that hasn’t been able to be said in six years, which has fans on the edge of their seat waiting for kickoff.

It’s a great turnaround story this year. The Pats went from 4-13 to being a division-winning 14-3.

What changed?

“Vrabel, has to be the way he greets his players after every game, each individual player. It’s just it’s amazing, and that’s how you get a team atmosphere,” said Mark McAuliffe, a Patriots fan and restaurant owner.

The MBTA is offering special round-trip train service from Providence to Foxborough on Sunday. Those tickets cost $20.
