Bond set at $750,000 for accused Columbus prowler

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A judge set bond at $750,000 for a man accused of entering unlocked doors and attempting sex crimes.
Rovan Spears, 33, was charged on Friday with multiple felonies, including aggravated burglary and attempted rape, in connection with a prowler in northwest Columbus.
Columbus police said officers responded to a couple burglarly calls and multiple attempted burglaries in the area of Hard Road between Sawmill Road and Smoky Row Road on January 9.
Court documents described Spears as allegedly entering unlocked patio doors and attempting to sexually assault women in two different residences, including one who was sleeping next to her husband.
He was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal Court on Saturday, where a judge set bond at $750,000. Spears was ordered to stay away from the incident location, abstain from alcohol or drugs, not make any further threats or acts of violence, and not possess firearms or weapons.
A judge also set bond at $250,000 in a separate case for strangulation.
