The Medway Police Department said that two men, including one from Woonsocket, was charged in connection with a child abuse investigation at a local daycare facility.

27-year-old Anthony Barron, of Woonsocket, was charged with four counts of assault and battery on a child under 14 causing bodily injury, two counts of reckless endangerment of a child under 18, and two counts of failure to report child abuse and neglect as a mandated reporter.

25-year-old Caleigh Kent, of Whitinsville, was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a child under 14 causing bodily injury, one count of reckless endangerment of a child under 18, and two counts of failure to report child abuse and neglect as a mandated reporter.

Police said the investigation involved an incident on Nov. 5, 2025 at Bright Path Child Care Center.

Surveillance footage allegedly showed abuse against two juveniles under 2-years-of-age.

The department said both suspects were released on personal recognizance and were given no-contact orders with the victims and their families, an order to stay away from the child care facility where the alleged abuse occurred, and prohibitions against working with children, elderly, or disabled individuals, including employment at any child care facility.
