A Massachusetts man is facing a DUI charge after a crash in Rehoboth Tuesday night.

Police said an officer on patrol was driving eastbound in the area of Winthrop Street at 6 p.m. when she saw a gray Honda Accord traveling westbound at a high rate of speed.

The officer said the Honda then crossed over the center line entering the eastbound lane.

Police said the Honda then struck a Dodge Caravan head-on.

Officers said both vehicles were heavily damaged.

The driver of the Caravan, identified as a 39-year-old Rhode Island woman, was transported to a nearby hospital.

Police said the driver of the Honda was identified as 22-year-old Jacob Larsen of Avon, Massachusetts.

Larsen was also transported to a local hospital.

Police said he was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle after license suspension, speeding, marked lanes violation and failure to wear a seatbelt.
