Providence Restaurant Weeks is preparing to return- and celebrate a special anniversary- on Jan. 25.

This is the 20th year the now two-week celebration will occur, and it will feature prix fixe menus and lunch and dinner specials, among other special offers, at nearly 100 restaurants. Participating restaurants hail from 13 different towns in the Ocean State, as well as Seekonk, Massachusetts.

According to Kristen Adamo, president and CEO of GoProvidence, among this year's first-time participants are Yellow Door Taqueria and Ten Prime Seafood in Providence.

Several of the restaurants participating in Providence Restaurant Weeks will also be featured in the Providence Culinary Collective- another restaurant-based event scheduled for late March.

Providence Restaurant Weeks runs through Feb. 7.
