New Bedford issues thousands of citations, tows hundreds of vehicles during parking ban

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WJAR) — New Bedford city officials said thousands of citations were issued and over 400 vehicles were towed after a parking ban during to the weekend snowstorm.
According to a city spokesperson, there were 466 tows and 2,054 citations given out.
The parking ban went into effect at 2 a.m. on Sunday.
The ban was lifted as of 4 p.m. on Monday.
City officials ask residents that parked in a school lot during a ban to move their cars as soon as possible so they can get those lots clear.
