2 dead, 2 injured in shooting at party in Carver

CARVER, Mass. (WJAR) — Two people were killed, two others were hurt, and a suspect was in custody Sunday morning after a shooting during a children's party in Carver, Massachusetts.
Police were called to the St. John the Baptist Club at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Police said when they arrived, they found the four victims.
A 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 20-year-old man died at the hospital.
The two people taken to the hospital were reported to be stable.
Police did not discuss a motive, but they said they believed the victims and the shooter all knew each other.
"This is not a random act. There was one shooter, that individual is in custody, and this was not a random act," Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said. "People here in the town of Carver should feel safe. There's no ongoing threat."
Police said the suspect will be arraigned either Monday or Tuesday, depending on the weather.
