Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn officially announced on Tuesday that he would not be seeking reelection at the end of his current term.
Quinn, a Democrat, has been Bristol County's DA since 2015, when he was appointed to the post. He's served three terms in the role.
In his announcement, Quinn said that he was proud of serving the county that he was born and raised in, as well as his body of work. He also expressed his gratitude to his staff and family for their support over the past 11 years.
Currently, the only announced candidate to replace Quinn is Seth Aitken, a Republican and former Fall River city administrator.
