Jennifer Aniston's boyfriend Jim Curtis reveals how their love story began

Jennifer Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis is spilling the tea on how they met and when the couple officially started dating.

The wellness coach and author stopped by the TODAY show on Jan. 26, where he dished on the deets about his superstar girlfriend. When asked by host Craig Melvin how their romance all began, Curtis explained, “The origin story? We were just introduced by friends.”
He added, “Yeah, that’s it, we found out that we had mutual friends, and we started to just chat. It took a long time. We chatted for a long time, and we became close.”
The rest is history! Jen and Jim have been going strong since they were first spotted back in June 2025 while enjoying a luxury vacation at the Alila Ventana Big Sur hotel in Northern California. The next month, the couple continued to spark romance rumors when they traveled to Mallorca, Spain, over the Fourth of July weekend.
The “Friends” alum appeared to make the relationship Instagram official in November 2025 with a sweet birthday post dedicated to her beau, where she dropped the “L” word, writing in the caption, “Happy birthday my love. Cherished.” Curtis replied in the comments with a kissing emoji.

Aniston, 56, and Curtis, 50, have been rumored to be an item for a few months, including when he stepped out to support the actress at the season four premiere of Apple TV’s “The Morning Show.” During the appearance, Curtis vaguely confirmed they have been dating for “a long time.”
“Months now, almost close to a year.”
Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt and then Justin Theroux until they finalized their divorce in 2018. Earlier this month, a source told PEOPLE, “Jen's always been fine on her own and comfortable being single, but her relationship with Jim is just different.”
“She’s very happy and comfortable. He's just so sweet and supportive of her. He makes her everyday life better,” the insider added.
