What do French fries and pizza have to do with a winter road trip to Colorado? Watch the video below and find out as we wrap up our Amazing Itineraries: Colorado adventure.

Amazing America’s Hunter Hulbert and videographer/producer Will Scheid were poised to take on Breckenridge's ski country, one of the top winter destinations. and North America’s highest chairlift, but there was one problem: Will had never strapped on a pair of skis.

So come along as his coach, Hunter, gives him a few pointers to make his first downhill ski adventure one he won’t forget.

Beginners should keep in mind that learning at Breckenridge can be costly. Lift tickets run $200–$300 per person, and equipment rentals hover around $50–$60 per person.

However, if you are an expert skier, then “Breck,” as it is fondly called, is your kind of paradise. You will find nearly 3,000 acres of skiable terrain and North America’s highest chairlift waiting to welcome you to the slopes.

The Imperial Express Super Chair climbs to about 12,840 feet above sea level. From the top, you can drop into areas like Imperial Bowl, which features expansive views above the tree line. However, it is recommended for expert skiers only.

As for Amazing America’s Will Scheid, he survived his inaugural ski trip but stands by his tips to other novices — among them, “bring water and bring Kleenex.”
