A major cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of an illegal immigrant wanted for assaulting federal agents.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Honduran national Jerson Lopez-Sanchez, who is wanted for allegedly assaulting federal officers in Lewisville, Texas.

The incident occurred on Dec. 1, 2025, when Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were conducting operations in Dallas.

During the operation, officers observed a white Chevrolet pick-up truck registered to an individual previously removed from the United States, according to an indictment.

When officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in Lewisville, the driver, identified as Lopez-Sanchez, fled in the truck.

"Soon after he pulled over, Lopez-Sanchez suddenly placed the suspect vehicle in reverse and rammed the federal agent vehicle behind him while a federal agent had one leg outside of the vehicle, injuring the agent," a release explained. "This maneuver caused enough space for Lopez-Sanchez to drive around the other law enforcement vehicles and attempt to flee."

During the ensuing pursuit, Lopez-Sanchez allegedly struck a van carrying two ICE officers before escaping on foot.

"Instead of stopping, Lopez-Sanchez accelerated and rammed into that vehicle, injuring the two agents inside," officials said. "Lopez-Sanchez continued to evade with the third vehicle pursuing him on to East Valley Ridge Boulevard in Lewisville for about 10 minutes before the suspect vehicle stopped on a median and all five occupants fled by foot."

Three of the people in the vehicle were taken into custody with the help of civilians.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Lopez-Sanchez on Jan. 14, 2026, in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, Sherman Division.

He has been charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees.

The FBI urges anyone with information on Lopez-Sanchez's whereabouts to come forward and call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324). You may be eligible for a cash reward.
