Metro Government has opened dozens of warming locations across Davidson County as dangerously cold temperatures continue to impact Middle Tennessee.

The Nashville Fire Department and Metro Nashville Police Department announced that all Nashville Fire Stations and most Metro police precinct community rooms are now available as warming locations for residents in need. The only exceptions are the Central Precinct and the East Precinct, which are not open as warming centers.

“All Metro Nashville Fire Stations are available as safe warming spots,” officials said. The fire department operates 39 stations across Davidson County.

Metro police precinct community rooms are also open to the public for warming, though overnight accommodations such as beds and bedding are not provided. The available precinct locations include North, West, Hermitage, Madison, South, Midtown Hills and Southeast. Officials emphasized that the Central and East precincts are not available.

All fire stations and participating police precinct locations will remain open 24 hours a day until further notice.

In addition, Metro Parks is opening several community centers to provide residents with a place to get out of the cold. Those locations include:

  • Southeast Regional Community Center, 5260 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Suite 202, Antioch
  • Madison Community Center, 550 North Dupont Ave., Madison
  • Nashville Fairgrounds, 401 Wingrove St., Nashville

Metro officials said pets are allowed to be brought to the warming locations.

Residents are encouraged to use these facilities if they are unable to stay warm at home or need a safe place to escape the cold.
