As U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. makes a stop by the Capitol Wednesday, Governor Josh Shapiro isn't mincing words regarding the Trump cabinet member.

Kennedy took center stage around 11:15 a.m. as part of his "Make America Healthy Again" initiative—an initiative Shapiro says is based in "spreading misinformation."

RFK Jr. has made our country less healthy and less informed, and he's spent his entire time as Secretary causing chaos and spreading misinformation.

Kennedy's visit comes after the White House recently announced updates to federal nutrition standards.

During a press conference, Kennedy introduced a new food pyramid that puts vegetables and meat at the top and whole grains at the bottom.

In relation to his Harrisburg stay, Shapiro said "RFK might be getting ready to talk at us once again today, but let's be clear: we will protect your fundamental freedoms here in Pennsylvania."

Every step of the way, we've stood up to his efforts to endanger public health – protecting vaccine access and families' freedom to make their own health care decisions.

A counter-protest was also held at the Capitol Steps around 9:30 a.m.
