Two more children of Pensacola youth director Rodney Jones were arrested late Friday night in connection with their father's child sexual assault case.

Romeo Jones, 23, and Selina Jones, 30, were both arrested around 11:30 p.m. on a charge of:

  • Obstructing Justice - Hinder Witness Communication Information to Law Enforcement Officer

Both were released from Escambia County Jail Saturday afternoon on $20,000 bond each.

Their brother, 26-year-old Rodrico Jones, was first arrested on Jan. 18 on an Obstructing Justice charge. He has since been released from jail on $50,000 bond.

The father of all three, 57-year-old Rodney Jones, was charged last Thursday with Sexual Battery of a Victim age 16 or 17. He was released from jail Friday on $250,000.

According to the arrest report for Rodrico Jones, which WEAR News obtained Friday, Rodney Jones is accused of sexually assaulting a girl who had previously attended his New World Believers "H.O.O.P.S." program.

The report states that in early January, Rodrico Jones confronted the victim's family at a gas station and offered $10,000 for the victim to recant her sexual assault allegations against Rodney Jones.

Also in early January, according to the report, Selina Jones messaged the victim's family on Facebook before later barging through the family's front door unannounced and demanding to speak with them.

The report states that after Rodrico Jones made the $10,000 offer at the gas station, Selina and Romeo Jones showed up to the victim's family's home in a "H.O.O.P.S." van and stated they wanted the victim to recant her statement.

"They attempted to intimidate them and have [the victim] recant her statement to law enforcement in regards to an active ongoing investigation," detectives wrote in the arrest report. "... The actions of Selina, Romeo and Rodrico have caused substantial emotional distress."
