Police in Warwick say that power has been restored to all but one traffic light after a widespread outage caused them to urge the public to avoid driving in the area.

The WPD made that public advisory at 12:12 p.m. on Monday, with most of the lights restored by 5 p.m.

As of 5 p.m., the traffic light at the intersection of 1000 Bald Hill Road and a local strip mall is the only one no longer functioning.

Earlier in the day, the WPD said that all of the traffic signals in the area between College Hill and I-295 and between East Ave. and CCRI, an area that includes multiple state highways, were not functioning.
