Southern New England saw several inches of snowfall overnight.

"We came here to sled because we thought it would be really fun," said Xavier.

While kids trekked up and down the sledding hills, some adults had just as much fun moving up and down the driveway.

"I'm just playing today," said Richard Loring, atop his personal snowplow. "I bought it in 1970. It's a '69 tractor. So it's 50-some odd years old."

Loring's neighbors were equally unbothered by having to clear our the nearly half foot of snowfall.

"I don't mind," said Michael Hubbard. "It's good exercise. Fresh air."

"It never bothers me," said Jared Kearns.

According to Rhode Island Energy, more than 100 crews spent the day restoring thousands of service interruptions across the area.
