Seekonk police announced the retirement of K-9 Mattis last week.

K-9 Mattis retired after around nine years of service, police said.

Seekonk police gave K-9 Mattis a final radio call last Friday.

Mattis will now live with his handler's family, officials said.

The police department said he even worked on his retirement day, sniffing out drugs during a traffic stop.
