Providence police arrest man on narcotics, weapons charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — The Providence Police Department said that a man was arrested as a result of an investigation into a narcotics trafficking operation in conjunction with the Pawtucket Police Department.
Brian Stanley was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and cocaine, manufacturing/possessing/delivering a Schedule I/II substance, manufacturing/possessing/delivering a Schedule III/IV substance, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence, possession of a firearm by a person of a person committing a control substance violation, and possession of a ghost gun.
The department said that it performed a several months long investigation that allegedly found Stanley using residences on Admiral Street in Providence and Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket to store and distribute illegal narcotics.

Police alleged that undercover officers made controlled purchases of cocaine from Stanley and then received a search warrant to both addresses.
The search allegedly found marijuana, cocaine, digital scales, a 9mm ghost gun, ammunition, other drug distribution paraphernalia, and cash.
Stanley was taken into custody without incident and was held without bail after arraignment.
