Three killed in wrong-way crash on Route 146

LINCOLN, R.I. (WJAR) — Three people are dead after a crash on Route 146 North in Lincoln early Sunday morning.
Rhode Island State Police say that at around 12:30 a.m. they were notified of a pickup truck driving southbound on Route 99 North.
That truck was being driven by 41-year-old Denis Aguilar Campos of Chelsea, Mass., according to the RISP. It then crashed into a car on Route 146 near Route 116.
Both Aguilar Campos's vehicle and the other car, which was driven by Jaylin Rainford of Randolph, Mass., were reportedly engulfed in flames.
Aguilar Campos, Rainford and Chiemelie Okonkwo, a passenger in Rainford's car, were all pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
Both Rainford and Okonkwo were students at Bryant University. Rainford was also a member of the university's track and field team.
