New England Patriots fans are gearing up to travel to Denver for the AFC Championship game.

On Wednesday, NBC 10 spoke with Susan Pearson of Coventry, who recently purchased tickets and a flight for the game.

“We’re pinching ourselves,” said Pearson. “This team, they’re just hop and this team in particular seams to just be all American and everything good and carrying and a real team and that gives hope the way the world is.”

She said she was able to purchase the tickets with help from a relative who lives in Colorado as Ticketmaster is restricting out of town purchases.

“My son said how can we do this and we reached out to my nephew and he got the tickets for us and my daughter in-law was already out there,” said Pearson.

For locals traveling to Denver, AAA recommends using a train or rental car to navigate the city.

“Train is a great option for getting to the stadium that’s probably going to be the easiest way,” said Jillian Young of AAA Northeast.

If you’re in Denver, it’s important to be aware of the elevation change and stay hydrated, Young said.

Given the snowy forecast on Monday, Young recommends locals traveling back to Southern New England consider waiting an extra day or two.
