Rhode Island, Massachusetts restrict truck travel during storm

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WJAR) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation and Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee announced that a ban on truck travel will be implemented on interstate highways during Sunday's snowstorm.
The restriction for Massachusetts will begin at noon Sunday and continue until noon Monday.
MassDOT said that box trucks, tractor-trailers, tandems, and special permit trucks will be restricted from travelling on highways.
Trucks delivering food, fuel, and medical supplies will be exempt from the restrictions.
The restriction for Rhode Island will begin at noon Sunday and will continue until further notice.
