East Providence opens up emergency shelter ahead of extreme cold

(WJAR) — East Providence is opening an emergency shelter ahead of the extreme cold projected in the coming days.
The warming center will be held at the Robert E. Rock Senior Center at 610 Waterman Ave.
It will be open from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a,m.
The city says members of the East Providence police department will be preset the event.
