Chrissy Teigen and Sarah Michelle Gellar talk about how their kids have become BFFs.

After last night’s “Star Search” episode, Teigen and Gellar told our entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno how each of their kids have become “obsessed” with each other and how the two ladies score the competition and getting those coveted “5s."

Teigen’s two oldest children, Luna and Miles were in the audience Wednesday night and they love cheering their mom on and helping her score the talent.

“Well, Luna is such a champion of girls. Like, she just loves watching girls do their thing and excel at something. And Miles is kind of the same way with dudes. Like, he really roots for like, all the boys, no matter what they're doing. They’re just at that age,” Teigen said.

Her children and Gellar’s kids have been on set with their moms and have become close. The former model explains, “Like, my kids are obsessed with her daughter,” to which Gellar adds, “Oh, they’re like obsessed. It’s a very mutual love fest between our two families.”

Luna and Gellar’s daughter Charlotte were helping their famous moms score each performer on Netflix’s “Star Search” competition.

Teigen admits she was “confused” over Luna’s scoring method, “Well, I was confused because she was doing this” Teigen said, mimicking her daughter putting her hands up and making a “four” and “five” with her fingers. Teigen continued, “And I’m like nine stars? But apparently by this she means four to five and I’m like ‘Oh my God.’”

Fans are saying the two ladies are tough critics, which caught Teigen by surprise. “That’s so funny you say that because everyone thinks we’re like softies.”

Gellar adds, “I want people to understand that the way this is, if you're on that stage, you're already a winner. Like you're incredible. You're better than almost everyone out there. So a three is like, this was great. A four is like, oh my goodness, this is next level. And for me, the five is okay. Wait, this might be the next star. I see it in this performance.”

She does clarify that just because she gives you a five one week, it doesn’t mean you’ll always score a five with her. “Now, it doesn't mean you're going to get a five for me every time, but it means that that performance was I could see you possibly winning.”

As to how to get those fives Teigen and Gellar reveal the two things they are both watching for.“I know I've noticed both Chrissy and I look to the audience because sometimes what we feel may not be what the general public feels. So you want to sort of see if the audience as engaged as we are in that moment? And I think it's also a gut feeling,” Gellar says of judging the “Star Search” talent.

One performance in particular stood out amongst the rest: Bear Bailey.

Teigen explained, “I mean it was just so beautiful. His voice filled up that room and you could feel the emotion and the pain and the pride, and you could see how proud everyone in that room was of him for getting up there and having this presence about him that just like, engulfed the entire room.”

Gellar added, “Well, to quote a grouchy British man, song choice is very important. And when you see someone and now I understand what he meant by that, because he felt that song and it was very obvious.”

New episodes of “Star Search” air on Netflix every Tuesday and Wednesday night through February 17.
