Shannen Doherty’s estate is locked in a legal dispute with her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, over a year after the beloved actress’ death.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum filed for divorce from Iswarienko in 2023 following 11 years of marriage. While the former couple reached a settlement that Doherty signed hours before she died in July 2024, her estate now alleges that Iswarienko has failed to comply with several key financial terms of their agreement.

According to court filings, Doherty’s legal team and Christopher Cortazzo, trustee of the Shannen Doherty Family Trust, claim Iswarienko has not fulfilled multiple “monetary obligations” outlined in the divorce settlement.

However, Iswarienko is pushing back. Per Us Weekly, his attorney argues that the signed divorce agreement was submitted to the wrong court and is now challenging the jurisdiction of the case altogether. His legal team contends the agreement should not have been filed after Doherty’s death and that the court therefore has no authority to enforce its terms.

Under the settlement, obtained by PEOPLE, Iswarienko was required to sell Doherty’s $1.5 million Texas home and “equally divide the net proceeds with [her] estate.” The estate alleges he has “refused to list” the property and appears to be living there currently.

The petition also claims Iswarienko has “refused to return [Doherty’s] items of personal property” and failed to “produce his inventory” of photographs of the late actress. He is reportedly “14 months delinquent” in providing copies of all photographs of Doherty to her estate, which were due no later than September 1, 2024.

In addition, Iswarienko was reportedly required to buy out Doherty’s share of a Mooney M-20 airplane for $100,000 and pay that amount to her estate within five business days of the sale. The estate alleges he instead “unilaterally withheld $50,274” after completing the transaction.

The legal battle adds another chapter to the actress’ complex final months, as her estate now seeks to enforce the terms she agreed to shortly before her death.
