Heather Gay on 'RHOSLC' Season 6 drama, unfinished feuds, and her biggest cosmetic regret
Season six of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” may have wrapped, but Heather Gay says the drama is far from over after the heated reunion. In a candid interview with our entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno, the reality star opened up about unresolved feuds, cosmetic surgery regrets, and what’s next for her on-screen and off.

Reflecting on the season, Heather said some friendships have grown stronger amid the chaos. “I feel like I've gotten a lot closer to Bronwyn. I'm really close with Angie and Whitney, our relationships kind of deepened with Mary too and with Lisa and Meredith,” she shared. “Conflict actually does bond you. There is unfinished business, absolutely, but at the core there is history and loyalty are really important to me. I still feel fiercely loyal and protective of these friendships, even when the conflict is really, really high.”

However, one relationship is firmly closed. Asked if she could ever be friends with former co-star Jen Shah again, Heather was firm: “No, not in the way that I was. I've grown a lot since then and discovered a lot of my own strength. A lot of my friendship with Jen was based on me just being unfamiliar in unfamiliar territory.”

Heather also opened up about the cosmetic procedures she’s tried over the years, estimating she’s spent over $200,000 on treatments like Botox and fillers. But not all of it was worth it. “I regret my tummy tuck before I lost weight my body has responded so well to weight loss, and it stayed tight. I probably could have avoided a lot of the surgeries if I had these tools earlier," she admitted.
Instead, Heather credits her current results to nutrition, including working with Atkins and using GLP-1 medication. “I feel empowered and like I don’t feel held prisoner by it anymore,” she said.

Looking ahead, Heather is ready to explore new opportunities. She revealed she wants to host a reunion for Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” and had high praise for some of the ladies of MomTok. “I love Layla [Taylor] and I really like Mayci Neeley too. I think her stories really resonated for me. I feel like they are Salt Lake City housewives 20 years ago,” she said.
Fans can catch her on the docuseries “Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay” and “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” streaming now on Peacock.
