Inside Luna Parc: Exploring Ricky Boscarino’s immersive art world in New Jersey
SANDYSTON, NJ (Amazing America TV) — Imagine getting a front-row seat inside the mind of a self-proclaimed “madcap” artist.
That’s what visitors experience at Luna Parc, a sprawling, six-acre art installation tucked into the woods of northwestern New Jersey. Nearly every inch of the property is covered in color, texture, and detail.
Luna Parc is the semi-private home and studio of artist and craftsman Ricky Boscarino, often known as Ricky of Luna Parc. The space opens to the public just twice a year, making each visit feel both unique and memorable.
And while it may seem like organized chaos, it is a well-thought-out, curated collection of Boscarino's aristry and creativity. Amazing America’s Hunter Hulbert got a rare treat, a tour of Lunca Parc with its creator, Ricky, as his guide.
The name Luna Parc pays homage to the original Luna Park, the famed 1903 amusement park in Coney Island, New York. Boscarino describes his Luna Parc as a "level five music room, chock full of art and artifacts." He has been transforming it since 1989.
Visitors can also purchase select works from Boscarino’s extensive collection, including his signature facepots, jewelry, and ceramic vases. Each piece feels personal, local, and unmistakably part of the story.
Luna Parc opens sometime after May 1st, but the dates are unveiled on Ricky of Luna Parc's social pages.
