Amazing Itineraries: Escape to Prismajic, an interactive art dreamland near Denver
LAKEWOOD, CO (Amazing America TV) — What happens when cutting-edge technology meets fantasy, nature, and artistry? It's an interactive and immersive experience ranked among the best in the country.
Amazing America's Hunter Hulbert checks out the magic of Prismajic in Lakewood, Colorado.
It is a collective art installation in which 35 local artists combine their talents to create a high-tech playground filled with animation, sculpture, woodwork, and paintings. This serene Denver-area dreamland offers a full-spectrum sensory escape, complete with black light surprises, sounds of nature, and even Earth’s heartbeat.
The project is a 10-year-old dream come true for its creators, co-founders Eric Jaenike and Jennifer Mosquera. Their first installation, Natura Obscura, opened in 2019, followed by a pop-up, Shiki Dreams.
Now, Shiki Dreams has a permanent home in Colorado Mills Mall in Lakewood.
One of the must-stop spots at Prismajic is The Night Owls Cafe, which offers guests themed cocktails and mocktails, and some good eats. It lives up to its name with late-night music, poetry readings, and other special events.
Prismajic has been such a hit that USA Today named it the fourth-best immersive experience in the country with more than 6o-thousand visitors every year.
