The New Bedford Police Union said that a 20-year-old was arrested for allegedly being in possession of a stolen firearm during a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 27.

Providence police said an 18-year-old man is charged in the shooting of two women, 18 and 19 years old.

Investigators say there was a large amount of dried blood around him, and evidence showed he had been dead for several hours.
