President Donald Trump on Friday made a joke about global warming as a winter storm is set to hit the U.S.

“Record Cold Wave expected to hit 40 States,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.

“Rarely seen anything like it before.”

Trump then called on the “global insurrectionists” to explain why a cold wave was occurring.

“Could the Environmental Insurrectionists please explain — WHATEVER HAPPENED TO GLOBAL WARMING???” his post concluded.

Multiple states are expected to be hit with massive snow this weekend. The National Weather Service reported that over 160 million are embracing for the storm.

"An impactful winter storm will track from the Southern High Plains/Rockies Friday, across the Mid-South and Ohio Valley on Saturday, and then the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast on Sunday,” the NWS said in a statement. “Heavy snowfall accumulations, nearing a foot with locally higher amounts possible, are likely on the northern side of the system, ranging from Oklahoma to Massachusetts.”

Ice storms are expected to hit Texas and other southern states.

Some governors, including Georgia GOP Gov. Brian Kemp have already declared a state of emergency.

Chicago Public Schools and Des Moines Public Schools in Iowa had to cancel classes on Friday due to cold air arriving from Canada.
