Fall River opening cold weather overflow shelters

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WJAR) — The City of Fall River said it was opening an extreme cold weather temporary shelter on Jan. 19 and Jan. 20.
The shelter will be located at First Step Inn on Durfee Street and will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m.
In addition, the Christ the Rock Church on Rock Street will be open as a shelter on Jan. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The city said that anyone in need of assistance with their emergency shelter needs is urged to call 508-676-3528 the FAST Response Team's 24-hour homeless hotline
