Former CNN host Jim Acosta and “I’ve Had It” podcast host Jennifer Welch talked in great lengths about how if Democrats take control of both chambers of Congress in the midterms, then President Donald Trump and those in his orbit will face major repercussions for their alleged “crimes.”

"The blue tsunami means that Congress is going to haul Elon Musk, ‘Big Balls,’ and a bunch of other people's a-- in front and say, ‘What crimes did you commit?’ And it's going to get really serious," Welch said.

"And the same with Trump because I believe, and this is just my opinion, that Trump and all of the bottom-feeding morons surrounding him and Elon Musk and all the bottom feeding clinger-onners that surround him, I think they commit crimes every day," Welch continued.

Welch continued to explain that the “hardcore” Democrats will be the ones leading the charge to hold Trump accountable.

“We are serious about this,” Welch continued.

“We are prosecuting. We're going to uncover every document, every phone call, everything you did. We will be relentless about it. And that's the mindset they've got to have because I think the electorate is going from, ‘We've got to get him out, but also we want accountability.’"

Acosta pointed out that the best method in ensuring that presidential immunity powers are rolled back is for Democrats to pack the Supreme Court.

"They should say when they're back in there, "’If you guys are going to cling to this idea that Donald Trump is unaccountable, it's just not going to work,’” Acosta said. “And that means adding seats to the Supreme Court so that that immunity decision can be overturned, and so Donald Trump can be held accountable for his crimes."

Meanwhile, Trump allies have been sounding the alarm bells that Democrats would weaponize the justice system against them.

Back in November, Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon warned a room full of conservatives that many of them could face jail time if Republicans lose the 2026 midterms.

“And I will tell you right now, as God is my witness, if we lose the midterms, if we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison – myself included. They’re not gonna stop," Bannon said in reference to Democrats at an event held by Conservative Partnership Institute.
