COVENTRY, R.I. (WJAR) — Firefighters battled a house fire in Coventry on Wednesday.
The fire occurred at a residence on 2414 Harkney Hill Road

According to the Hopkins Hill Fire Department, one person was home at the time of the fire.
The person was able to self-evacuate and did not sustain injuries.

Western Coventry fire officials said it took around 15 minutes to knock down the fire.
An addition to the house was damaged, but the house is habitable, according to officials.
Western Coventry Fire Captain Robert Mann said early investigation suggests the fire was accidental.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
