Mekhi Phifer, best known for his roles in "8 Mile" and as Dr. Greg Pratt on NBC's "ER," filed for bankruptcy in April 2014 after racking up approximately $1.2 million in back taxes, $50,000 in lawyer fees and $4,500 in back child support.
