Hundreds of protesters against the presence of ICE agents gathered at the Federal Building in downtown Eugene, Ore., Tuesday, Jan. 27. The protest began around noon, and eventually several protesters were arrested and detained. The protest continued all day and into the evening, with the protesters chanting ICE Out! and Let them go! referring to those detained. A candle-lit memorial to Alex Pretti, who was shot and killed by ICE agents in Minneapolis, was erected on the steps of the Fed Building plaza.
